As much as he might resist learning to use the filter section on the A6 is
more beneficial than using 2 of the 5 knobs on the Microkorg with no
graphical interface.

Your friend sounds a little scared of the A6 interface, tis understandable.

And the midi routing to make this work will probably require that some
changes have to be made to separate the instrument control at some later
stage.

Tis also possible that the stepping of the MicroKorg pots is not as accurate
as the A6 dedicated controls.

I have both and love them both but they are separate entities in the studio.
