[A6] Adjusting Pitch Bend Wheel

while we're on the pitch wheel, i know i've heard on this list that you can
assign other values from the pitch knob besides pitch bend, but i can't seem to
un-assign it, even though i can with the mod wheel. how do i remove pitch bend
from the pitch wheel and assign it to something else?
as for fixing the scraping pitch wheel, i would suggest just taking a file to
the side where the pitch bend wheel is. i have taken it apart to try to fix
this and i couldn't really adjust it. however, you can just file off a little
of the plastic on the side and that should help.
