hi my name is ben and im from southern california

i just got my andromeda 3 weeks ago.  its my first synth but i figure that
ill grow into it.  Right now i feel a bit overwhelmed...i cannot create a
nice smooth bass line sound.  All my basses are kind of rough sounding....so
i close the filters down to .0218 but that makes the bass sound to soft and
distant.  how can i make a smooth bassline without making it sound soft?

ok but my REAL problem is this.  cubase sx.  i cant set up my andromeda in
the midi devices list right.  
right now i have my andromeda connected to my m audiophile 24/96 using the
in and out midi cables on both.  The IN seems to work fine (delta AP MIDI,
my sound card) ...when i play my synth i can create a midi file with the
proper notes and velocities and everything.  the problem is i cant hear it!

so for all the cubase users, did u set up the OUT as andromeda delta AP MIDI
(but this can be replaced by whatever soundcard or MIDI router you have)??
I think this choice makes the most sense but i cant hear my MIDI notes upon
playback when i choose delta AP midi for OUT
my other options are...
microsoft MIDI mapper (emulated)  - actually sound works when its selected
but i hear some cheesy piano and not the patch i made.  so i dont know if
this is the correct one.  does anyone else use this?
microsoft GS wavetable SW synth (emulated) - sound doesnt work when this one
is selected either.

if someone could help me out by emailing me an .xml file for cubase sx so i
can import it, then maybe i can start making music with this thing.  i've
asked almost everyone (tech support for both cubase and andromeda, tons of
music forums) and looked everywhere online but i cant find the stupid xml
file.  why dont alesis have these easy set up files on their website?  my
friend who got a virus one week after me got hi virus running on logic in
one day.  not fair i say!
