Do you realize that what you need is hard to understand exactly? It is 
possible to make smooth bass sounds that are really bright, and ones that have no 
treble on them, too. So maybe you can think of some other ways to describe it. 
To me, smooth seems to imply liquidy or soft sound. Taking away treble with a 
filter is one way, the envelope shapes are another way. Have you learned and 
tried the different filters mixed together (series, parallel)?

There are also toms of sounds online - download and find one that does what 
you need, then try to see what they did when programming it. You can make your 
own from there...
