When you make statement such as this previous one of yours: "Does
everyone need that kind of
modeling to make music? No. But the same class of synthesist that loves
the Z1 for what it does best (beyond playback samples) will love the
Neuron...If someone doesn't see a synth for its particular strengths
(and
weaknesses) then they're probably better off sticking with a
sampler/rompler IMO.", you quite clearly state your contempt for those
whose opinions differ from yours, implying yourself to be a higher
"class
of synthesist" and presenting your opinions as more valuable than those
of
whom you disagree with. Since you made a number of similarly arrogant
statements in your last response implying that those who don't agree
with
you have both feeble skills/hearing and a lesser standard of "good
enough",
a clear pattern of self-conceit is evident. No paranoia involved, merely
reading comprehension enabling one to see through your thinly-veiled
insults/statements of imagined superiority.
------------------
Vamp, you're reading waaay too much into this. If you read what I said, I
was comparing SYNTHESIS to SAMPLES - they're very different things. Don't
you agree? I have no contempt (except in your manufactured paranoia) for
samplers, romplers, or those that use them (in fact I have several myself -
so much for that delusion) - they have their uses as ALL synths do - but yes
I WILL stand by the statement that for physical modeling of physical
instruments, the best TOOL is a synth that does physical modeling. It
doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that. So, stop calling names and
trying to kill the messenger because that doesn't validate your points any
better. If there is a pattern of self-conceit here, you're clearly the
pattern-maker, in the need to demonize someone with a differing opinion than
yours. I may make statements about what I see as a better synthesis method
for X or Y types of sounds, but you make statements about what YOU IMAGINE
as a personal motive or a personality - which IS the subjective stuff of
paranoia. Finding faults with facts is facts, but finding fault with motive
is imagination, unless you know my true motives, which you've clearly shown
you haven't. A clear pattern of self-delusion is apparent...
