Here's a remark from someone who's never had his A6 in mix 
mode yet: :)

Check the mix settings. Depends on the mix, but maybe your 
output levels are too high. (e.g. lots of channels enabled 
listening to the same midi channel with the same prog 
running.) Disable a couple of channels and see if that 
changes things. What happens if you turn down the master 
volume control?
