[A6] Mix Mode Levels

Hi.

I'm still fairly new to my A6, and I was playing with stuff last night and
ran into a problem that I haven't seen in the manual or discussed here-

I'm running the main outputs of my A6 into my Layla 24, and while in Program
Mode I hear everything normally with no problems.

However, if I switch over to Mix Mode, i'm not hearing any low-end- kick,
bass, etc...  It almost sounds like the low end is being clipped.  If I plug
my headphones in, I hear the low-end with no problem.

But....if I run the A6 main outputs first into my 2 channel dbx 386 preamp,
and from there into the Layla....then I am finally able to hear low-end
without any problems in mix mode.

Is this normal behaviour, or do I have a parameter for Mix Mode output
levels messed up or something?
