I happen to think that the most unique thing about the JP8000 is that
damn feedback generator. I am looking to own another one just for that
one feature. And I agree about the strings and pads. The JP8000 has a
nice soft mushy sound that I think works very very well with string
patches. That quality is also its weakness however, as you can't get a
decent thump out of it like you can with an A6 or even a Nord...
