[A6] Ribbon controller to play notes

I'm not sure that it's spelled out in the manual, but the "chord" feature is a global setting that *only* affects the A6's internal keyboard, before the note messages are passed to the synth engine. It *does* work in mix mode, but it is not very useful in mix mode (if you want automatic chords in a mix mode voice, stack up the voices you need on an overlapping keyboard range and set the pitch offsets as necessary) since it will play a chord for every note pressed, no matter which mix voice (and you'll get strange results if the chord spans beyond the keyboard range of the mix voice you're playing, since one note of the chord will then be playing a different sound).

Thanks for all the replies. Seems like a sutiable work around or 2 there.

Is anyone else aware that the Chord mode doesnt seem to work properly when
the unit is set to midi mode only (local off). I can't find any reference to
this in the FAQ's and such but i seem to run into trouble trying to get it
to work properly in mix mode. It doesn't remember the chord and once it
would only go between 'flashing' and 'on' mode using the button.
