[A6] Beware ribbon hold

In rehearsal today, after an extended outro wank on the ribbon, I hit  
HOLD to keep my filter setting glued down for the envelope release.   
The next tune came up, and the offboard sequencer sent a new mix  
program change.  After three minutes of trying to figure out why the  
mix sounded totally wrong, I finally discovered that HOLD was still  
engaged.

But, turning off HOLD did not reset the ribbon value.  The first  
thing I did after this was to hit the ribbon to clear it.  Nothing  
happened!  Hit the ribbon again, ribbon value zips back down to 0.

Has anyone else had this, and, watch out.
