[A6] Trouble setting MIDI channels for A6

Hi all, I have been trying for  a whole day to set my nice new Andy as 
the controller keyboard in my midi setup.
I have got as far as my sequencer in Pro Tools sending and receiving 
midi messages from the A6, but I can't figure out how to set up my 
separate MIDI channels for each program in Mix mode. all the programs 
in the mix play together no matter which MIDI channels I set them to.

The A6 manual is a bit vague (and I guess I am too) on this topic, 
although there is a full page on Mode Messages (p251) describing  modes 
1 to 5 with mode 3 (Omni Off/Poly) being the one I'm probably looking 
for? But there's no reference to where these setting may be on the A6, 
if they are?
