Possibly January 21st of this year at Carnegie Hall, if the work they
commissioned from him ran as scheduled. But, since it's not at all common
practice for the composer of an orchestral work to actually conduct it, I'd
imagine the last time was probably with his old band Oingo-Boingo.
In any case, what do orchestral composers have to do with the subject of
live performance of electronic music? Or any sort of music for that matter,
since in the rare instance a composer of a work would also conduct it, he'd
be guiding the musicians in their performance and not performing himself.
The reasons for which would be evident to anyone who thinks before they
speak or write, as common sense dictates it's rather impossible for one man
to perform with an entire orchestra's worth of instruments at once.
Furthermore, unless you know more than I do about amazingly advanced
miniaturized/quantum computers being hidden in flutes, violins and other
such instruments these days, classical instrument performers don't have
anything to do with computer plug-ins either.
Honestly now, if you're going to try to be a smart ass, I'd suggest next
time you put more effort into the "smart" part since you already seem to
have the "ass" part handled pretty well.
