[A6] A6 midi CCs do not function properly??

After about a year of trying on and off I have come to the conclusion that
it is impossible to get a smooth response using a windcontroller to control
the A6. However I map CC2 it seems impossible to get a smooth transition at
the beginning of a note in the way that i can with an evolver, nord micro,
matrix1000 etc... it is always a little abrupt and it is not possible to
play proper smooth legato at very low volumes. It sounds like the A6 is
incapable of translating the lower midi CC values properly, at least using
CC2 (breath)... and i have to conclude this is due to faulty programing or a
hardware fault on my unit (unlikely, as the midi works properly otherwise)
Its as if the CC data starts at 10 instead of zero or something. I've tried
every offset and trigger setting and I know I have the windcontroller
properly routed using the CC map...

this really pisses me off because I do love the sound of the A6 and i think
it could be an amazing windsynth. I'd love to be proved wrong... but so far
nobody has been able to suggest any reason why this won't work properly
