I participated in a small discussion on KC about "Snap" of the original
minimoog and how A6 ,altough getting pretty close and good enought for most
purposes, doesnt have the same speed and curve of the minimoog envelopes, or
snap if you will. Some members said, as well as few reviewers in mags, that
suprisingly Voyager is noticeable slower than its grandfather Model D.
Since you have and use both, can you shed some light on their difference in
envelope speed and in sound/fatness for that matter, please? Of course, I
mean core sound differences , not the obvious arhitectural ones, like two
filters vs. one etc.
thanks
ps due to great cv interfaceability of voyager i was thinking about it as,
among other things, serving as a core for a modular synth with its three
powerful vco's, two filters etc, and add MOTM stuff to it. anyone care to
comment on that idea?
