i dont like the analog dist curcuit either, no warmth, no intermediate
results, it screws up the sound
the moment it's on. I'm going monday to the local shop carrying EHX
products. They have a stereo,
line/keyboard impedance input dual tube pedal ( LPB 2ube), made to impart
anything from discrete "warming" to full overdrive to your synth sound. i'm
eager to see how it sounds, altough
they only have a NL3 in the shop. EHX is advertising its working on 300V, so
it's no "starved plate" cheap tube design. who knows..
>What is everyone here using to process the A6? TCs? Lexicons? Eventides?
sometimes i run it thru onboard delays and use reverb from Roland SRV3030
and TC Reverb4000.
I must admit, for most sounds, the very cheap roland is better suited than
TC, unless realistic rev is called for. I played A6 lead once thru some
analog delay>stereo plate preset on ORVILLE ,
and it is the most beautiful combination i've ever heard. i thought TC will
solve all my rev needs, but
eventide and lexicons are far better for synths/ambient processing and FX
type reverbs, it seems.
