>>> How about using the delay segment of all the envelopes to mask the pitch
swoop and tighten up the sound of the beginnings of notes? I guess the notes
would be, obviously, late by a few mSec, but a constant lateness could be
taken care of elsewhere when tracking a tune.<<
It reminds me of "The Old Days"; people couldn't expect every instrument to
do whatever they wanted, we just accepted what it did, and it was ALWAYS good
and bad mixed together.Simple example - Hammond B3 and Leslie - no
attack/release, no adjustment of vibrato speed, keys "clicked" each time you start a note,
it always distorts when you turn it up, only two speeds on the Leslie. ALL
these became features and people accepted them and made music - still do - with
that famous rig.
The old Minimoog did not have independant Release times, a huge mistake in
today's world, yet no one mentions it!
The A6 is probably all it's ever going to be. Possibly the best overall
analog synth I've ever seen. Everyone here has come up with GREAT ways to improve
what they've given us with the Tips and Tricks. I need to spend more time with
it and try all the options shown there - it does make a difference, but time
is the hard part. Too busy making music with it, I guess that's good.
