[A6] Vox Key Number - Analog (%$!#$#) Distortion

Hi all,

1./ I have noticed that when you modulate a parameter with VoxKeyNumber the results (in other words, the parameter modulated) are not smooth across the whole range of the keyboard. For instance, try turning all outputs in the prefilter mix to zero and choose to modulate one with Vox Key Number. Then play some scales. You will notice that nothing happens until you reach D3 in the keyboard. Then suddenly it's on and it takes it from there. I wasn't able to remedy this with the offset parameter. :-( As I understand it, at key number 0 it should be completely silent, then at 127 it should reach the level which is specified in the relevant page. And most importantly the transition should be smooth. The offset parameter should then be used to restrict this output to a more useful range according to the user's taste. Anyone?

2./ I don't like the analog distortion in the effects section (the digital part is serviceable). In my opinion, it ruins the beautiful analog sound: Make a patch with full spectrum (cutoff set fully clockwise) and then try some resonance at 25/50/100 settings. Open the high pass output in the prefilter mix (it "works" with any output, but with the highpass the effect is more prominent). Enable the Analog (sheesh...) Distortion, type = Easy, set to 5. What do you think? I am amazed (and that with type = easy and with the minimal setting of 5 there are these crude clicks. Lest I mention trying extreme settings. :-( . What is everyone here using to process the A6? TCs? Lexicons? Eventides?

Take care

Yannis
