Hi Group,
Well I've been thinking of picking up and A6 for a while and loe and behold
I found a local one used. Sounds nice! All voices seem to tune up just
fine using auto tune. So what else do I look for that might be of potential
problem? I've had quite a few analog synths and the my idea behind the A6
purchase is to ditch many of the old and keep a nice poly that was recently
made (serviceable!), I guess I've gotten tired of problem after problem with
my older analogs. I realize the A6 isn't a substitute for any specific
vintage analog synth but rather a nice one on its own.
So what do I look for that might be of problem? This is a used unit and a
bit dusty at that. Many of the knobs (actually pots) seemed a bit wobbly.
Is this normal? How do you tell the difference between a 1st version and a
second production (after alesis went bankrupt)? Is there a difference? I
always got the hint from TGS posts that there might be a difference.
Thanks,
Tim
