[A6] Buying an A6...

Hi Group,
Well I've been thinking of picking up and A6 for a while and loe and behold 
I found a local one used.  Sounds nice!  All voices seem to tune up just 
fine using auto tune.  So what else do I look for that might be of potential 
problem?  I've had quite a few analog synths and the my idea behind the A6 
purchase is to ditch many of the old and keep a nice poly that was recently 
made (serviceable!), I guess I've gotten tired of problem after problem with 
my older analogs.  I realize the A6 isn't a substitute for any specific 
vintage analog synth but rather a nice one on its own.
So what do I look for that might be of problem?  This is a used unit and a 
bit dusty at that.  Many of the knobs (actually pots) seemed a bit wobbly.  
Is this normal?  How do you tell the difference between a 1st version and a 
second production (after alesis went bankrupt)?  Is there a difference?  I 
always got the hint from TGS posts that there might be a difference.
