[A6] NRPN sum

Old lurker here landing a rover

finally after years I've had some time to start to focus on music
and the A6 in particular, which has been too much for me to explore
until now. I was able to work for an hour with a person who had it
kind of wired.

I'm following this thread roughly with poor sight, though I've still
not goten to fully explore the A5/6.  The gist seems to be (?), get
Logic (I use DP) and with OSX, Midi OX and Midi Yoke I'' be able to
convert NRPNs back and forth. Is this summation right?


Purpose - I am working in microsound at times and want to write tons
of CCs very carefully to a seqencer, over time (studio) for playback
through the A5 live...live in the studio that is... to record in
different audio ways with live FX/digital/acoutic/ and pre recorded
mixing. Too many knobs to also have to do the A5 live.


Am I out of luck with digitl Performer and will the fix suit me?


2nd -
what can be done to help the ribbon to age? mine may be under used
and looks like it is drying a bit (cool basement though)

3. is there no way to replace the preset banks, particulary the
arpeggiated one (1)??  I only have the 'BETA' manual. Is there
enough that's been changed about te manual to warrent examining
online some of the new rev.?? I am on the latest Alesis OS

O4. Sound Diver is not ready fo substantial A6 sound shaping. ?

5.  finally -

the thing that I would love to be able to do is replace the LED with
an external LED which is larger. Will the wire harness of the LED
allow this? I know some on this list are into mods on this...anyone
have any ideas?
