I would not trust my A6 in anything less than an ATA flight case as 
checked baggage.  There's a REASON it's called a *FLIGHT* case.

You MIGHT be able to bring the A6 in the Gator case as carry-on but

1) depends on the airline (call ahead)
2) has to be stowed in the closet (*IF* there is room)
3) inspection will REALLY hold you up
4) they can refuse large carry-on at the last minute
5) lock the case so it cannot be opened by anybody but you

An Anvil case with A6 inside is definitely overweight on a passenger 
plane.  However look into transporting on a separate FREIGHT plane, like 
FedEx.  And get your phone # stencilled on the case if it winds up in 
the wrong location.
