I know what you meant here but this is still a pretty harsh comment:-) "more 
often then not" is definitely an over statement. We have heard of quite a few 
people having problems with their first new unit, but that's mainly because 
this is where people with problems often end up. The reality is that it is 
still a relatively small percentage and like someone else pointed out, 'lemons' 
tend to manifest their problems pretty quickly... I took a gamble importing my 
A6 from the states to Australia (the warranty is NOT international) and i've 
never had any serious problems with it. On the other hand, I recently spent 
some good money on a little Canon digital camera and after four days the screen 
went faulty.. I returned it under warranty and now I have a great camera, it 
can happen with anything...
