to be honest i was stunted to find out alesis/numark didn't develop a
piece of software, for at least their servicestations to calibrate the
A6. all that's left now is swapping chips when the problem above becomes
too great.
in my opinion all that is required is a small adaptation in the autotune
functions, it could be implemented in the os. a seperate piece of
software could also be a possibility.
i guess that when the person(s) who were responsible for the
tuningprocedures were asked to work on it, i might be surprised if it
would take them more then a day to make that adaptation, the costs would
be far less then that of swapping chips and or soundboards.
regarding the option of just-intonation or any other keyboardscale
(werckmeister, indian, kirnberger just fill in your own): this would
certainly complete the A6 to become a classic. imagine baroc music
complemented by a good synth, also for jazz music (in which i'm also
occupied at the moment) it would greatly enhance the possible usage of
the A6. in fact i would be willing to Pay for such an option. i'd offer
150€ as a start , which would maybe pay for the first programminghour
needed !
