I *did* deselect all the preferences and I *still* got spammed.

I knew Yahoo's system well in advance.  Their policy and their preferences don't mean squat.

And remember when Yahoo went around resetting user preferences a couple of years ago?

Precisely why Yahoo is not the ideal archive resource - you have to manually extract the ads for your own archives.  It ain't no AH search engine.
