I get your drift. I've been thinking lately something similar but
different, that if we do things to actually help them (!) then they
will be more inclined to help us. Currently they have no real
motivation to upgrade the OS even though it would seem logical from a
marketing standpoint. I have spoken with them several times and I think
they do not really have a marketing department that caters to the
Andromeda. They are selling these synths regardless. That's because it
is such a fabulous synth if nothing ever changed about it.
After a few discussions with Brian and some other people here, my
thinking is that if we gave them some good A6 demos to put on their
site, for example, that would help 'them'. I think taking a positive
approach is always the way to go when possible. I'm sure there are
other things we could do as well. In other words, build a positive
bridge and relationship with them. Brian and a few others do already
have an established relationship with them.

I believe that after a much discussion here and off-line, it has been
determined that the email list is the best way to go for several
reasons, although there are plans in the works for at least a home page
that contains all the major links and whatever else it grows to - more
of an information resource, rather than discussion-based. We have
someone who is going to host the page and archives, etc. and is a back
end developer. I am also a designer and do web design although it is
not my main gig. If you would like to do the design for the home page
and any further development that comes up with that, I would be very
happy to chat with you off-list, tell you what we are doing, and show
you what I'm doing design-wise. I really have more than I can do
already with the Tips and Tricks document so your skills would be very
helpful.

I also discussed this with them months ago. They said that they would
'try' to have someone around but that they really don't have the
resources to dedicate someone to the list. My feeling is that no one
from there currently monitors this list.
