[A6] minimoog D vs voyager

I have both. I highly recommend the Voyager because it not only
replicates the Minimoog model D very well but can go way beyond it. You
also get lots of bonuses like memory, MIDI, osc sync, VCO cross mod,
variable waveshaping, extra filter, selection of 6/12/18/24dB cutoff per
filter, full ADSR EGs, touch sensitivity, touchpad, better modulation,
better I/O - and none of the tuning and $$$ maintenance headaches of a
25 year old analog synth.

Like Brian said, the model D's advantage is price as their market value
has been driven down with the arrival of the Voyager.

I keep my model D around because 1) it's one of the early collector's
item Trumansburg models and 2) when using MIDI sequences with both the
model D is assigned the simpler sounds (it has the LMC MIDI interface).
