What I do with my A6:
I use it as a 3000 dollar midi controller for my collection of many
incredible 100-400 dollar softsynths that I got into after I picked up
the Andromeda when it was first released. Sad but true. The first
thoughts of selling it entered my mind about 5 months ago when I
realized it was getting almost no usage in my music. It sits next to my
other overpriced midi controller, my mpc2000xl. Once I moved to logic
the mpc turned into an mpd. the only hardware that gets much use is my
metasonix vacuum tube oddity stuff and my sherman filterbank in
conjunction with some of that. I think my minimoog Voyager is gonna get
plenty of burn however, once that finds its way in here, as I havent
heard any softsynth that kicks me in the gut the way the mini does.
burn
sidenote: other hardware im considering allowing into the lab are the
fr777 (wicked ass basslines!) and some other assorted boxes and gadgets
that do various things. i would want a sidstation but im almost
positive a vst/au will be out soon enough that emulates the commodore
64 stuff just fine for my twisted purposes
