Good to hear. My A6 came with 1.30.83 but I don't recall what it was like
very well. The summer of 2001 brought a fair number of updates as I recall.

Mine is like that, yes. I think that it's a feature, since it provices a
zero point that you can hit with your finger. Thus when you release your
finger the sound doesn't suddenly change.

I'm not sure what you mean by that; if HOLD is on then the ribbon light
will stay on once you press the ribbon, even if you move over to the "zero
space." Notice, though, that the modulation output of the ribbon is indeed
zero.

Yeah, I recall something changing with the behaviour of the hold lights
some time between 1.30.83 and 1.40.02 but I can't remember what at the
moment.
