A petition won't do the trick...one would have to develop a business case
for why they should do this. Remember, it would take them time, which costs
money: technical people would have to get the stuff into a suitable form
for distribution, somebody would likely have to write up a little note about
constructing a build environment, lawyers would have to give their OK, etc.
It's not as easy as some of us would like.
