.. One other thing. If you want both to work at the same time, Set your KEYBD and PANEl settings to LOCMID. I think this should work good in your case.

    ... you appear to be quite new with the A6 and Cubase in general as I was just some time ago. Relax take a deep breath and set your A6 like this. In the Global menu hit soft button 1 for KEYBD. now TXMODE should be set to MIDI. Now hit soft button 4 for PANEL and TXMODE should be set to LOCAL. (this is how I have mine set and I like how it works)
    To trigger your sound you must select the corresponding sound (midi channel) on Cubase. for example; you want to play your sound on channel 5. Select Channel 5 in Cubase. If you want to be able to tweak the paramters (filters, envelopes, etc..) of channel 5 you must select it on the A6. It would be good practice if for every time you select a different channel in Cubase you also select the same channel on your A6. It's quite simple really.
