[A6] modern analogs

Weird revelation: I checked the A6 against my last-surviving polysynth -
Chroma. I like it a lot, if you can spend months programming great sounds
into it. The Chroma had some 'meat' to it that we all love and miss a bit
with stabler, cleaner machines. Also I checked the old Minimoog against my
Voyager - same - a bit of 'growly' on the old one is not the same on the
newer type, but the old one does almost NOTHING that the new one does well.
Given a choice, I'd MUCH prefer these new things to the old ones I love so
much. They even LOOK good!

I'd also like to have a modular that stayed in tune, sounded fat, big knobs,
had 1/4 cables, and had exactly the modules I wanted at a reasonably
(serious) price. It IS possible nowadays - that would NEVER happen with an
old one.

We are living in damn good times for synths. (So - everyone stop
complaining/comparing! There are differences, but too many once one gets into
it all!)
