yeah that makes sense. I was thinking their slopes were
gradual and overlapping.

In actual fact, it's the overall routing that has 4 different
possibilities, mainly in whether the oscillators go to each filter,
where the noise and ring mod are routed, and whether the LPF input
is fed in parallel with the peak filters or just from the peak filter
section output.
