I think I can pretty much completely agree with that assessment. It's
not the end all-be-all, nothing is, but for the sheer amount of variety and
utility value per dollar, no other poly comes close.
That being said, I'd someday not mind having a Voyager controlling a
nice-sized modular, an ARP Quadra, and perhaps a Matrix 12 for good measure
hehe. I think that would make me about as satisfied as I could be.
What does everyone else use to complement the A6, or to fill out your
studio? Maybe not everything you own, as for some of you I know it's quite
a list. Rather, what is the set-up you power up that you use as your
backbone for writing/recording, the things you use for most everything? I'm
kind of curious. I know my idea of what an ultimate half dozen or so
'boards would be, but I find it very interesting to see what everyone else
would use, other individuals favourite rigs intrigue me. I've seen people
pull of some insane audio alchemy using rigs that I'd never imagine could
deliver so much, perhaps they couldn't in my hands...it's neat to see what
others can do/how they're inspired with certain gear that would not
deliver/inspire the same way for others.
