Probably none.  There are one or two other "redundant" LEDs around the 
board as well.

Yes - D2 level (small knob).  The A6 has dual decay and dual release 
sections.  Decay 2 and Release 2 are like the traditional ADSR.  Decay 1 
decays to D2 level (like a 2nd sustain).  Likewise with Release 1.  Note 
the line graphic tying Decay 1 and D2 level.

I just tried the sforzando effect and it is very easy.

Lots of longtime analog programmers here on the list - you're in good 
company.  Stick with it, read the manual (well written), check out the 
A6 tricks document (url is in the archives), and the A6 will make you 
happy :)
