[A6] modern analogs

I'm sure many of you with Andromedas get asked the
same question (especally those of you with other
classic analog synths):
'How fat is the Andromeda and will it replace synth xxxx?'
After spending a lot of time with the A6 and hearing
from other folks that own new analog machines made
by other companies, I'm starting to get the opinion
that you simply can't build a big, fat sounding analog
synth using ASICS, surface mount components, and modern
multi-layer circuit boards.
Any thoughts or comments? I love the A6 for the new
modern features like lots of LFOs, envelopes, and insane
routing options. An analog signal path makes the basic
sound of the unit nice, but it doesn't replace any of
the old guys, it complements them. (With the possible
exception of the Matrix 12/Xpander which I think is what
the A6 sounds the most like).
(obligatory feature request: Send arpeggiator and sequencer
MIDI information out of the A6)
