I havn't listened to the patch but you can probably do quite alot with EQ
and compression to get a smoother bass volume. One thing that might be
causing the changes (that has nothing to do with the A6) could be your
room accoustics or your monitors. If a note hits a resonant frequency in
your room it will sound much louder. The same goes with notes that hit the
resonant frequency of monitors with reflex ports. And if a note hits a
frequency where your monitor's response isn't flat it could sound much
softer or louder too. (This often occurs with really low notes that your
monitors can't really handle).
Have you checked the same bassline on a different speaker/room setup?
