[A6] Fast bassline issue

I have been fooling around on the A6 with a bass patch derived from psy
bass.
I have a 16th note pattern as my bassline.
It goes something like E4-E4-E4-E4, E4-E4-E4-E4, E4-E4-A4-E4, B4-A4-E4-E4

I notice that the A4 and B4 notes sound boomy and the bassline sounds weird
because of that.
I guess this is because of the higher freq. of the notes causing a different
resonance characteristic, isn't it?

Does anyone have any advice on how to do away or reduce the boom?

If you want to check it out, I am attaching the patch I am using.
You'll have to program your sequencer with the above pattern.
