It is and it isn't from what I know. I think the whole custom fab scheme to
revive Alesis with the HD24 and the Andromeda was what broke them, but ever
since the ADAT market went south (which was a while before the A6/HD24)
Alesis overall had been struggling. It's more than one factor and it
probably was a matter of time anyways.

The "A6 bankrupted Alesis" story is mainly nice because you can throw in
some cynical naff about how people in today's music world just don't care
about quality instruments or something. :)
