I'm down with that. The A6 only exists at all by some freak of capitalism -
basically letting a bunch of programmers go mental and bankrupt the company
in the process (perhaps it wasn't really like that, but its a nice
story...). It should cost twice what it does, in which case it probably
wouldn't have existed at all cos they'd never have sold more than a
hundred... its pretty bug free considering the OS never quite got the
chance to be developed as thoroughly as other products do...
But then I've been spending too much time on Akai forums recently - those
guys really are angry and bitter about lack of support for the MPC4000 OS
really isn't finished yet...... quite nasty actually,
so overall I feel pretty grateful to have paid £1400 (used) to own such an
unlikely and monsterous synth, not perfect but still a dream come true
