Cyril,

This doesn't mean that the A6 is broken. The A6 has only one FX section,
like it has been said many times before. Also, you have to make sure
unison and polyphony settings are not the culprit. Even with 16 voices,
polyphony gets swallowed up quickly by a powerful pad with lot's of
release...and with a name like 'padamongous', you can probably assume it's
using lots of voices. This doesn't make the A6 suck, neither does it mean
that Alesis did a bad job on it. I often send my sounds in mix mode via
Main or Aux, so I can control FX on my outboard gear. I for one don't think
the FX are as bad as some people have claimed about the A6, the brightness
[in reverb] can be controlled by pulling down the value for the lowpass
filter in the Reverb Section... And the analog distortion is quite usable.

I don't really think that you are going to be able to get 4-5 parts unless
you are using polyphony wisely. Just having part 1 for example with a
release slightly longer than the note hit, raises the polyphony, that
including a sequence playing could result in 3 to 4 voices for one part
alone.... Forget about throwing in a pad to top it all off, because pads
love polyphony. The only time I used more than 3-4 channels on the A6 was
for a drum machine Mix Patch I made, and even that was limited to 10
channels.

Just be happy that the A6 CAN run in Mix Mode. There was a time that ONE
keyboard equalled ONE voice, but I think people are just getting spoiled
because of softsynths and their unlimited FX and voices. lol :0)
