[A6] Bands - BifTek and other OZ stuff

Well, I turned 23 in September ... don't know if that counts as much 
younger than 26 or not ...

I think the A6 is usually too expensive for somebody to buy right off 
the bat.  It also isn't nearly so well marketed as something like the 
Korg Trinity.  I bought it because after DJing for 7 years I've really 
come to appreciate analogue instruments.  I think a lot of people 
starting out are satisfied with soft-synths and virtual analogue.  You 
also have to consider that there's a lot of learning involved here, and 
that people might not make any noise until they really know their way 
around at least one of the major sequencers, MIDI, and some FX and 
mastering tools.

Anyway, I want to make dance music, but more along the lines of 
jazz/funk/soul/disco/electro-inspired house (and maybe detroit-ish 
techno) than progressive house or trance or drum and bass.  I don't have 
a lot of time for it, with school and DJing and everything, but 
sometimes I discover things I can do with my A6 and it makes me cry.  I 
think getting Logic and SoundDiver to work properly with my mini-studio 
is an important step.  Hopefully in 2004 I'll be able to put some tracks 
up for people to hear.
