[A6] converting NRPN's to CC's in logic

Hi,

So, I want to use the front panel of my A6 to generate CC's.

I know that the MSB is sent on CC #6 and the LSB is on CC #38, and I 
understand the structure of NRPN's.

However, I don't know how, or if it's even possible, to filter / 
transform an NRPN message, which consists of 8 data bytes (99 <knob MSB> 
98 <knob LSB> 6 <data MSB> 38 <data LSB>) -- ignoring the  initial 
control change bytes -- in a Logic environment into a single CC with a 
normal range of 0-127 (aside from ignoring CC#99 and multiplying CC #6 
by 4, which doesn't give me the resolution I need).

Has anybody done this?
