Hi all..
I found synthman's favourite band list pretty interesting, maybe because I
thought that most of those bands would probably feature on a lot our "favourite
lists" too...

I'm the same age as synthman (26) , I know we have some "veterans" in the scene
here;-) but are there any people that are much younger? I wonder how
many "kids" are getting into this kind of gear? There is some new and very
interesting stuff coming out but a lot of it seems to be done by our
generation, or older. Not unexpectedly, because those are the people that grew
up with this stuff.. Does anyone know any young bands that are doing
interesting synth stuff?

Also, I live in Australia and I wanted to ask if anyone not in Australia has
heard of a band called Biftek? I discovered them pretty recently and wondered
if anyone else has ever heard of them. The band is made up of two Australian
ladies who have been collecting vintage analogue gear and they come up with
some really amazing sounds, I think anyone "into" synths would definitely
appreciate their music... Their album called 2020 is better, IMHO, then their
most recent work, and the singles of that album weren't the best tracks on the
album either. The outstanding tracks, again IMHO are "Ultimate", "Suzanne"
and "8:08 to Berlin".
You can check out their website www.biftek.com
