No, L Damp damps low frequencies and H Damp damps high frequencies. On 
a hall I would leave L Damp alone unless it's too boomy, and on a Plate 
you can use L Damp to thin things out.

Swirl is just chorus on the reverb. It can be an interesting sound on 
some things. It's also nice if you have a long reverb that sounds too 
static. Or if you want a subtle chorus, but what fun is that.
