That's what a lot of people think as well. But...

The closest that anyone has heard about it actually showing up in stores is
that it was projected to list for $4990. Since the website showed up (just
before Winter NAMM in January of this year) _NO_ new information has shown
up about the machine. For "a while" right after NAMM, there was at least a
marketing rep active on a couple of lists, including this one. He hasn't
been heard from in months.

A working machine _was_ shown at NAMM, but one working prototype was put
together out of three machines that were shipped to the show. That's not a
judgment, just more info.

In July, there was rumble on the Waldorf list that they were still writing
code at that time, but "getting closer" with a ship date looking like 2-3
weeks out.

Then, back in the middle of August, this showed up:

PLEX has a resynthesis engine that looks to provide most all of what the
Neuron had promised.

The Neuron had the proper technical and design backing, but I fear that
it's starting to feel like the financial side fell out.

btw, the sounds that you hear in the intro on the homepage are said to have
been done on the Neuron.

btw, this is all pretty off-topic for the A6 list.
