[A6] More modulating outputs...

Aha. Lightbulbs. Eureka. where'd that apple come from?
Ok, so this explains the behavior. It seems that even when I was
experiencing this with the kicks, it was the sequencer retriggerring on
different voices. So, mystery solved. Thanks!
Now, 2 [more] questions:
First, is there no way to submix voices from a particular Program to the
Voice Outs? Sounds like the answer is no...
Secondly, if I want to restrict the polyphony of a Program to a single
voice, the default behavior seems to be, the interrupting/overlapping notes
don't sound. Aside from disabling the voice outs in Global Mode, I'm not
sure how to restrict the polyphony of a Program.
Addtionally (2b), is it possible to have the interrupting notes in a
restriced polyphony Program "take over" a voice (i.e. every not is sounded,
but those that coincide with the decay of the preivous note are
ceased/clipped)
Thanks for all the replies! I very much appreciate the assistance. -E.

: As the name says, the individual outputs are voice outputs,
: not sound or
: channel outputs. In order to use them effectively in a mix
: you need to do
: the following:
:
: - use only monophonic sounds on a voice output (like bass,
: lead or drum
: sounds)
: - select a fixed voice for this sound
: - enable voice out and disable main out for this sound
: - make sure that voice out is disabled for all other sounds
: used in your mix
: (these are mix parameters, so you don't have to make changes
: to your sounds,
: just to the mix)
:
: Your mistake might be that you thought the channel number had
: anything to do
: with the voice outputs. It doesn't. Outputs are fixed to
: voices, not to
: channels.
:
: Hope that explains.
