Hello:
As some of you may recall from a recent previous message (New Andromeda
Owner/Knob Behaviour/Sound Variance/MIDI - June 20) I got an A6 last Monday
that had a couple of issues so the dealer sent a second. Well it turns out
the second one was warped by a good quarter of an inch. If you place it flat
on a work surface it rocks back and forth between the top right corner and
the bottom left corner. So what I decided to do was send both units back and
have the first one, which had a couple of keys with plastic jaggies and a
ribbon controller with a glue spot on it fixed. The dealer is going to
replace the two offending keys and the ribbon controller.
My question is has anyone had their ribbon controller replaced? If so, will
it look as it did from the factory (sans the glue spot:-))? I like the fact
that it is nice and snug to the surface of the A6.
As for some additional follow up:

The latest OS did fix this.

A couple of folks didn't find this far fetched and this is part of what made
me send the first unit in for repair. I really liked the way it sounded, so
hopefully they can get the cosmetic issues worked out.
(My thanks to Brian Shim and David Evans for their input on 1 and 2 above!!)
Thanks in advance,
Matt V.
