The A6 is not an easy synthesizer to come to grips with. In other
words, the quality if what you get out is very much dependant on how much
work you put in. It's not really a box that yields instant gratification.
If you're willing to learn and do a lot of experimentation then you'll
probably think that the A6 is great. But if you get frustrated quickly
then it won't be.

I'm pretty sure I'll like it. I'm really drawn to the total control
you have over the sound (as far as I can tell). Really involved shaping
of waveforms is cool -- I think it will make me understand sound a lot
better (outside of first year physics).<br>

The A6 will certainly let oyu do that, so long as you like its character
of sound. If you can get a chance to play with one for an extended period
of time that may help.

I certainly like all the mp3's I've heard. Has anyone else done A6
mp3's? I don't think I'll get a chance to play around with one before I
get one though (may be a good thing, as this will delay me from getting

Yes, at least in terms of assurance ;) Maybe if I was more precise it
might help though. Assuming I go and buy an A6 tomorrow, what are the
other things I'll need to buy in order to have both a good enough sound
system to appreciate it (I'm pretty sure my current speakers are not
adequate) and to produce some basic dance music (without using a
sampled drum loop)?<br>
