Good question - no hard answer here BUT be aware that clipped mixers are <I>designed</I> in for some synths, even Andromeda. The Micromoog, in particular, has only one oscialltor but it is FAT because it is designed to distort at the mixer. Be aware that is may be good to TRY clipping different tones at different places in the chain. This is how engineers (my main job) try to get maximum "sound: from things; trying all combinations of levels. Some things like to be driven hard, so not. <BR>

PS - Used my A6 on a record several times this week. The singer/songwriter knows very little about gear or "digi vs. analog". I have lots of old and new gear, from pianos and Mellotrons to digital and virtual synths, we were using <I>all</I> of them. When she heard the A6, she said "That sounds GREAT!".
