Hello

A little help please. Is there a global Midi channel in the A6? If yes, how
do I set it to a channel of my choice? Here is the summary. I normally play
the A6 live. Yesterday I tried something different to work on this
project. I had set up as follows

a) Yamaha UX256 Midi box connected to a Macbook laptop running Cubase 6

b) UX256 connected to following

i) Moog Mininimoog voyager (in and out)

ii) Alesis Andromeda (in and out)

iii) Yamaha RS7000 (in and out). This in turn has a midi out connected to a
box which connects to a Roland TB-303, TR-808 and TR-909.

The clock comes from Cubase. I want to step program from the RS7000, send
it via different channels to Cubase Midi in which then sends out to the
patch(program) I have on the Andromeda and Moog for playback via respective
midi chanel. I’d like to work on program mode if possible but if there is
no global midi setting, then I’d use Mix mode and set the midi channel
appropriately. Since it’s one program which am using on Andromeda, I
thought why cant I do it via Program mode to begin with.

OK. I know im gonna get hit with a lot of questions but

a) I don’t want to use the Midi editor in Cubase as I am so used to
the RS7K for step programming

b) I don’t want to use the sequencer or Arpeggiator on the A6 as it
takes too much time for me

c) I did read the manual again (really quickly) but I couldn’t find
anything on Global Midi channel.

Thanks guys
