[A6] Mix corruption causes infinite reboot loop.

Tonight's bedtime story:

Open a mix that's been in use for some time.
Enable channel two, select Card 3 patch 43 (say).
Make some adjustments to keyboard range, transposition, etc.
Save the mix.
Select another mix from the front panel.
Select your mix back again.
Alright.

Get a program change for the same mix from the external sequencer.
The right mix is selected, but channel 2 is now program C3 73!
Select the right program again.
Save to a new mix location.
Modify program change message to go to new location.
Select new mix from the front panel.  Alright.
Select mix using prog change from the ext sequencer.
channel two reverts to C3 73!
Power cycle the A6.
Infinite splash screen.  Oh yeah.
